Born and raised in Shelbyville, KY, Aaron Reed is a testament to dedication and service, both to his country and his community. Alongside his wife, Sarah, the couple balances the joy of raising six children with the demands of managing Ops Supply(Gun Store), Kodiak Koating(custom gun shop), and Wing A Prayer Farm — the family’s businesses.

Aaron had a robust military career spanning over 22 years as a Navy SEAL, rising to the rank of Special Operations Senior Chief. His retirement in December 2021 marked the end of a journey that saw him deploy to combat zones in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, and many places in between. Through these deployments, Aaron participated in hundreds of missions, amassing a wealth of real-world experience and honing his leadership skills.

Beyond his distinguished military service, Aaron is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur. He is a proud alumnus of Morehead State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Criminology. His sharpshooting skills were on full display as a member of the NCAA Rifle Team. Further deepening his expertise in firearms, Aaron obtained a Gun-Smith Diploma from the respected Sonoran Desert Institute in Scottsdale, AZ.

Presently, Aaron serves as President/CEO of Kodiak Koating Inc., ASR Enterprises Inc., Ops United, and Ops Supply Inc. His love for firearms extends to the competitive arena, as he was recognized as a Professional 3-Gun Shooter in the 3-Gun Nation circuit on Team Remington and Bushmaster.

His passion for service and leadership has now channeled into the political arena, as he steps forward as a candidate for Kentucky State Senate in District #7.

Aaron’s commitment to veterans and their well-being is unwavering. He volunteers with the Navy SEAL Foundation and ardently supports his father’s initiative, Kentucky Wounded Heroes, ensuring that fellow servicemen and women receive the acknowledgment and care they’ve rightfully earned.
